Senior English Major and History Minor at Midwestern State University with a GPA of 3.75, expected to graduate May 2015. I will also be attending Emerson College in Boston, MA in the fall for graduate studies in Publishing and Writing. I have never made lower than a B+ in any of my classes at MWSU.
Experience
I am currently a tutor at MWSU's Writing Center, and I took the ACT with Writing before starting college (score of 29 with near perfect scores in reading and writing). I like tutoring because it allows me to share my knowledge with other people. I love to help people learn and understand content. As an English major, I have taken many upper-level courses: Shakespeare in London, History of the English Language, Advanced Grammar, Creative Writing, and British and American Lit. to name a few. I am also a History minor, so I have taken a fair amount of courses in this subject as well: Ancient Greece and Rome, History of Popular Culture, Western Civilization, and History of Women in Great Britain and America from 1600s to Current Times. I am experienced in public speaking, as I have attended and presented at over 5 conferences during the past 3 years. I also work as an editor on MWSU's literary magazine, Voices.
